COUSINS is a family tree birthday and gift tracker for iPhone. Add your family (both sides), get reminders before birthdays, find gift ideas, and keep a log of every gift.

Where is my data stored?

On your iPhone only. COUSINS has no account; your family list, birthdays, notes, photos and gift log are saved in the app's local storage on your device.

How does "Ask for their birthday" work?

In the app, tap Ask for their birthday and send the link by text or email. Your relative opens it on cousinsai.com, types their birthday (no app or sign-up), and the next time you open COUSINS it appears for you to add with one tap. The answer is deleted from our server once it reaches you. See the Privacy Policy.

Will I lose my data if I delete the app?

Yes. Because data is stored only on your device, deleting the app deletes your family list. Use Profile → Share your family list to send a copy of your list to yourself or a relative first.

How do I delete my data?

Remove a person from their profile page ("Remove … from the tree"), or delete the app to erase everything.

How do reminders work?

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your phone — 2 weeks, 1 week and the day before each birthday. You can turn them on or off anytime in Profile, or in iOS Settings → Notifications → COUSINS.

Importing from Contacts

If you allow access, COUSINS reads names and birthdays from your Contacts on your device so you can pick who to add. Nothing is uploaded.

Birthday twin

COUSINS shows a famous person with the same birthday, using a built-in list or Wikipedia. Only the month and day are sent to Wikipedia — never a name.
